** A narrative picture has been INTENTIONALLY left out of this blog post **
So, I was sitting on the couch feeding Eliza, with 'plans' to leave shortly for a 'quick' trip to the store (yea, 'plans' and 'quick'...right.) when Emma and Eden walk in from outside.
Emma: "Mom? Why was there a mouse in our pool?"
Me: "I dont kn...what do you mean WAS?!?!"
As I turned to look, there it was...in all its wet deadness...dripping all over my kitchen floor. I may have freaked out slightly, and then freaked out to a much higher degree when I realized that both of their shoes were sopping wet, and Eden's dress was soaked too. UGH! To quote a friend: IS there enough soap to ever feel good about the status of their hands?
Apparently, my California girls have completely adjusted to life in the country. I, apparently, have NOT.

Oh, my.... I do love the way you caught the tense of the question so quickly! It's a funny story, Grandpa Herm enjoyed it when I relayed it on to him!
