Well, we finally did it! We attempted an outing. It may not sound like much, but I was seriously worried how I'd manage a toddler and a baby on a trip to the grocery store. Grocery shopping in the past was always an interesting endeavor with just Emma - add a screaming baby to the picture, and welcome to my nightmare come true. The whole experience is mostly a blur - I never shopped so fast in my life. All in all though, it went pretty well: a granola bar, fruit leather, wheat-free cookies, a cheese stick, and a bottle of juice was all it took to keep Emma in the cart; Eden, was her usual sleepy self and only grunted her displeasure at being jostled around getting in and out of the sling. There's a few things I'd do different next time - like bring a book or something to distract Emma so she doesnt eat the entire store; but all that to say, hopefully in the near future we'll manage getting out and about a little more often - Mary, let us know when you're up for a visit!
Here's an updated picture of the little peanut...in her lovely newborn glory: baby zits, a receading hairline, flaky skin and all! She's keepin' it REAL, yo!

Tim used to love collecting the "tickets" those coupons that dispense from the shelf and make a little whirring noise after you pull the coupon to send out the next one. I stayed in the middle of the ailse, but if he was good, i would pull over at the next machine and let him get the ticket.Don't know if Emma is old enough for that trick, but it might be worth a try. His other favorite was an apple. I would pick out two the same size, let him gnaw on one, and tell the clerk to charge me for twice the uneaten apple.
Can't wait to see the newest one and her big sister and brother on the 18th! Congrats on getting through the grocery run, it sounds like it's challenging!
Wow, are you organized! Just keeping track of Emma alone is a job! Good work on the grocery run and looking forward to seeing you on the 18th.
Happy Mother's Day! You are very good at it, too. Thanks for the pictures and laughs--Love to your bunch-Lyn and Damon
