Eden is Two

Happy Birthday Eden! You're TWO! Although, if we ask you, you're pretty adament that you're three (occasionally four)...for the life of me, I cant get you to admit to your two-ness. Im guessing its out of a deep commitment to never underrate yourself to your sister, but you are a big tease and excell at stubborness; so really, who can understand the fabric of your thinking. You are quite complicated for only being two years old.
You are becoming quite the interesting young lady. We read a book called "Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?" and I could swear it was written about you. So much wanting to be just like your big sister, but doing it all with your own princess flair and a pair of cowboy boots (or rain boots, as the weather allows). You are independent and clingy - all at the same time. Chatty, just like Emma, but with much more volume. You love big, hit hard, and rarely take no for an answer; and when it comes to snuggling, you are hands-down the best at it. Always on the go - and physically able to keep up with your sister and 5 year old cousin...heck if you will be left behind - you can already pedal your trike, make it most of the way up the rock wall at the park (another inch or so, and you will totally be non-stoppable), swing on the big girl swing, and beat up your sister who is twice your size.
We still call you Baby, but in a few more weeks you wont be the baby anymore. Thankfully, you are already very excited about having a baby around - talking alot about the baby's room, baby's diapers, baby's chair, etc. Asking to 'hold it'. Practicing rocking your dolls in the big rocking chair. Sticking your finger in my bellybutton and saying 'tickle baby' (which reminds me, we need to cut your finger nails). Hopefully, you'll stay this excited and curious long after the little one arrives. I forsee a few bumps in the road, but you adapt to new things very well, and are very loving and helpful, so Im sure any problems will be minor as long as you remember not to treat the baby like you do your dolls or the dog...oy.
Daddy and I love you more than anything Eden Kay! Happy Two Years Old.
