Summer!

Summer has officially arrived here in the Midwest - finally! We pulled out the swimwear, grabbed our popcicles, and spent the afternoon playing with the garden hose...it just doesn't get any better than this!

Little Girls on the Prairie

I took the girls to a park today at the Gammelgarden (a little Swedish history center in Scandia). It was a beautiful day - as you can see - and they had so much fun just running through the big open prairie space, having a picnic on the ground (as opposed to picnics elsewhere; which I've been told, by my articulate two year old, aren't as much fun), seeing some geese with their 5 little gosselings trailing behind, climbing the bridge, and just exploring a new part of their little world.

More pics on Picasa! Despite Eden's faces, she did enjoy most of her time there - she was in a slightly fowl (foul) mood due to the fact that I wouldnt let her play with the goose poo. Im all for letting her explore, however I draw the line at poo of any kind.
