Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Its been a busy couple weeks here at the Gilliland homestead. We got a late start on all the Christmas preparations due to the move, so we've been busy packing in all the baking, shopping, decorating, spending time with family, and that pre-Christmas cold bug we always seem to get - you know, all that stuff that does a Christmas celebration make. At least thats my excuse for the lack of posts. Anyway, we had a nice Christmas here in California - it was actually my first time having it here. It was a little weird without all the snow, luckily Mother Nature sent a little cold and wet weather our way - at least I got to wear my coat. Ha!

We took the kids up to the Mountains to see the snow too! We had lots of fun sledding and just playing in the snow. Robert and Emma even had a bit of a 'snowball' fight...'cept the snow wasn't very bally, so it was more of a snow chunk fight.

"Look Grammy, Christmas!"

Well, now that we're all unpacked, we're starting to get going on all our Christmas decorating. We decorated the tree tonight and it was interesting keeping our very curious little girls out of trouble. Here is a pic of Emma's tree-trimming outfit - complete with purple fuzzy plastic high-heels (curtosy of the Rutherford girls). Her and Grammy went outside afterwards to see all the neighborhood lights.

Grammy's Here!

My Mom came to visit this week - YEAY! The girls have been having tons of fun, and Im sure enjoying the fact that there's always a lap to sit in. We've been baking christmas cookies, decorating the tree, and we even did a little Christmas shopping. We're not going to make it to Wisconsin this year for Christmas, so its so nice she came out here to bring a little of home to me.

The Little Lady is 8 Months Old Now

Here's our little Ms. Eden (or Enin, as Emma would say). She's getting so big - crawling around like crazy, thinking she can walk, eating a little real food (and scraps she finds under the table), and generally just being cute and snuggly.

Moving Day...

We Moved!

Due to circumstances beyone our control, we had to move. Thankfully, we found a place a couple of miles down the road - its a beautiful house, a great (potential) backyard, and a very nice community that will serve us well Im sure (lake, pool/splash park, lots of bike paths, and playgrounds). On the down side, the moving process is just no fun. Its over now though - thank you millions to Dave, Lyn & Damon for helping us, we absolutely couldn't have done it without you. So, most of the boxes are unpacked - just a few random ones here-and-there; and the backyard is still unfinished (as you can see in the pic) but should be done in the next week or so - its starting to feel like home. Everyone seems to have adjusted well and now we're looking forward to Christmas!

We, obviously, have a new address - email me if you need it.
