The Temple Of Fishing

We stopped at the Bass Pro Shop today on our long drive home from Monterey. Dang! Have you guys been there?! ITS HUGE! Anyway, it was a nice little break from the roadtrip - Emma enjoyed the huge fish tank; seeing all the real, stuffed, animals; but mostly just being out of her carseat for a little while. Eden was happy just looking around and hanging out in the sling. Robert drooled over the boats and camping gear. I was just happy that everyone else was happy, and very thankful to be out of the cramped backseat of the truck. And minus the 8-legged welcome home parade (ANTS!!!) marching through the kitchen and family room, all is well, and its good to be home.

Happy Independence Day!

Happy Fourth everyone! This is actually a picture of the girls at the Menifee parade last weekend, but today we celebrated as only a family with two small kids can: we hung out at the campground all day and went to bed early. It was actually quite a packed day for us though. We watched a little campground parade (all the kids decorated their bikes/dogs/strollers/wagons/etc and marched through the campground), had an ice cream sundae, went on a train ride, played at the playground, did a little swimming and followed it all up with an early trip to bed listening to the fireworks going off in the distance. Nice.

Happy Day Daddy!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband. Thank you for all that you do for us - like driving us girls 4 hours north so we can not be so miserable on your birthday; and for putting our needs above your own.

I love you for all that you are, all that you do, and all that you dream.
