Busy Weekend

It was a busy weekend for us - more car repairs and a baseball game on Saturday; and today we did some shopping for those last few supplies as we get closer to Eden's arrival and then went to a going-away party at Chuck E Cheeses for some friends who are moving to Oregon. Here's a pic of Emma learning to play Whack-a-Mole. A milestone, if I do say so myself! Im sad to say though, Chuck E Cheese has lost its charm...what a nutty place!

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

It was such a beautiful day today, so we grabbed some chinese takeout and headed to the park for dinner tonight. Robert & Austin got a little baseball practice in - despite Emma wanting to be in the middle of it all. Emma managed to get a little practice in with her new baseball glove she got from the Easter Bunny. And I sat, slightly breathless from my lingering cold and the not-so-tiny person currently taking up much needed lung space. Yeehaw.

Easter 2008

Easter at the Gilliland's was a low-key affair this year - with Emma and I being sick (me more-so than her). The kiddos got their Easter Baskets, we went to church, and after a little ham and an egg hunt in the backyard, we all took naps. We are feeling better though - just some lingering sniffles which will likely be gone long before I stop finding easter basket grass all over the house.

The Best of Both Worlds

Thanks to Bruce for sending me this amazing picture - and a great reminder why I live here in California. 70 degrees and sunny, palms waving in the breeze, but the snow is just a hop/skip/jump away. Winter is wonderful from afar.

She Makes Me Laugh

This pic of Emma just made me laugh out loud --- she's so proud of her belly.  Sorry about the sideways picture...I cant figure out how to get it turned around.

Purty Flowers

Here is one of the first Calla Lillies that sprouted in our front yard...a transplant from Barb that I planted last year. Yeay! My thumb isnt totally brown!
